The police recovered the body of a woman named Anjana Begum (42) from Barapusha village of Nagarpur upazila of Tangail yesterday. She is the wife of Nazrul Islam of Barapusha village of Bekra union of Upazila.
Anjana Begum's husband Nazrul Islam said that last Thursday morning Anjana left the house to go to her father's house. Since then, despite many searches, she has not been found. Locals found a dead body in a paddy field and informed the police. The woman's body was recovered.
H M Jasim Uddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nagarpur police station said that the recovered body had no injury marks. The body has been sent to Tangail General Hospital morgue for post-mortem. After the autopsy, the exact cause of the woman's death will be known.
